Kathy VanDyke

Client Services Specialist

Kathy is a Virginia Tech graduate with a BS degree in Forestry & Wildlife Management. Her professional career took a turn after graduation when she joined her family business and spent her professional career overseeing the operations of a high tech manufacturing company. After several year of retirement, Kathy joined the Appalachian Veterinary Services team in 2011 and the rest is history!

When not at the clinic, Kathy enjoys life with family on a 20 acre horse farm with her Paint & Quarter Horses, Belted Galloway cow Ellie and Akitas, Sookie & Magnum. She also enjoys bike riding with family and making stained glass for friends.

Brooke Doe

Veterinary Assistant

Brooke is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Hospitality. She is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician as a Veterinarian Technician student at Penn Foster. Brooke grew up in Lexington NC, and has now lived in Pulaski County for the last 10 years. Brooke enjoys living on a mini farm raising sheep, chickens, and of course best of all an animal loving two year old! Her hobbies include taking care of her mini farm, camping, kayaking and spending quality time with her family!

Hannah VanDyk

Veterinary Assistant

Hannah was born and raised on a large Holstein dairy farm in Tulare County, California. She grew up raising and exhibiting Registered Holstein & Jersey dairy cows and continues to stay involved within the dairy industry. Hannah attended Virginia Tech and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Science. In college, Hannah was a member of the Dairy Judging team and active in several collegiate clubs, including the Dairy Club and Obstacle Course Racing club. Currently, she is working toward the goal of becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician through the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. In her free time, Hannah enjoys being outdoors, running, taking care of her dairy cattle, and hanging out with her dog and cat, Harper and Theo.
