Dr. Robyn Sazonov at Appalachian Veterinary Services

  • Dr. Robyn Sazonov, born in Houston, Texas, moved to the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia where she became interested in horses and started riding at a young age. 
  • After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1999, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to veterinary school. 
  • Dr. Sazonov graduated from the VA- MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and worked at a busy equine practice outside of Richmond before coming back to southwest Virginia in 2005. 
  • Dr. Sazonov started working with Appalachian Veterinary Services in 2006, and has since completed the IVAS course in Veterinary Acupuncture.
  • She also has strong interests in equine preventative medicine and advanced equine reproductive medicine. 
  • Dr. Sazonov lives in Pilot, Virginia with her husband, Greg, two horses, three cats, one dog, and a small flock of chickens
