Dr. Robyn Sazonov, born in Houston, Texas, moved to the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia where she became interested in horses and started riding at a young age.
After graduating from Virginia Tech in 1999, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to veterinary school.
Dr. Sazonov graduated from the VA- MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and worked at a busy equine practice outside of Richmond before coming back to southwest Virginia in 2005.
Dr. Sazonov started working with Appalachian Veterinary Services in 2006, and has since completed the IVAS course in Veterinary Acupuncture.
She also has strong interests in equine preventative medicine and advanced equine reproductive medicine.
Dr. Sazonov lives in Pilot, Virginia with her husband, Greg, two horses, three cats, one dog, and a small flock of chickens
