Dr. Kathy Lamb grew up in Maryland with a broad equine background that includes riding jumpers, fox hunting, competitive horse trials and exercise riding at racetracks.
Dr. Lamb earned her DVM in 1998 and spent two years in a South Carolina sport horse practice before returning to Blacksburg and Appalachian Veterinary Services in 2000.
Her special interests include lameness, podiatry, and sport horse medicine.
Having completed the IVAS acupuncture course in 1999, Dr. Lamb strives toward integrated medicine to better serve the needs of her patients.
When not on the job, Dr. Lamb and her husband, Bob, enjoy trail riding Brush Mountain, cycling on recumbent bicycles and gardening at their mountainside home.
